Hi Egos and HAPPY NEW YEAR! I love it when we can celebrate a new year. I don't care that it's actually just another day. I love the excitement, the parties, the countdown and this whole feeling of change in the air. It's like everybody is willing to start all over again.

EGOxperiment: Daim Ice Cream - SUDDENLY THE FINAL!

Hi Egos, this will be the last one of this series :D I'm not too excited about the last coffe flavoured one from this edition so I'll leave that one out =)

So the last ice cream cup that I'm going to review is the Daim flavour. Again I'm not sure how many of you know Daim on it's own. It's caramel coated in the most delicious chocolate you can imagine. It's super high in calories but who cares, right? :D

But let's get to the part where I show you some mouth watering pictures first!

EGOxperiment: Milka Flavoured Ice Cream Cup!

Hi Egos, I'm back with another reason why I might never quit eating ice cream. My obsession has reached another peak with this EGOxperiment.

After tasting the Toblerone and then the Oreo flavoured ice creams I have now eaten  -or rather devoured- the Milka edition. Seriously I should get paid for this! Dear ice cream industry, If you ever need an ambassador please find attached my application. :D

EGOxperiment: Autumn Ice Cream - Toblerone

Hi Egos, with the end of my successful Magnum First Kiss EGOxperiments I've been craving for something new. While I still need to find my style fashionwise I've definitely found my taste dessertwise ;-) I did some research for new EGOxperiments but I always ended up in the ice cream department. Since this blog is about loving yourself I thought I'd just give in and finally go for new editions of ice cream.

This one at least comes in a cup :D The first one is the Toblerone flavoured ice cream cup.

EGOxperiment: Magnum First Kiss The Grand Finale!

Hi Egos, we made it! I was able to get that last Magnum First Kiss. After checking every supermarket and 7/11 I wasn't able to find it. In the end I stumbled upon it at the cinema. They were selling it as a movie snack.

But let's get to the foodporn part first! :D

Alrighty you know the drill already :D  So this is Magnum First Kiss N° 5 Stolen Kiss in tarte aux pommes flavour.  

EGOxperiment: Langnese Café Zero Cappuccino

Hi Egos! I'm back with another summer essential! We all love some ice cream but cold drinks are just as amazing during these hot days.

On a road trip to a lake a friend of mine bought a round of Langnese Café Zero Cappucinos for us girls. I don't really drink coffee but that was alright. For some reason coffee flavoured things are more delicious than actual coffee. :D

But let's take a look at this drink!

So this is an iced coffee drink with a cocoa topping, whipped cream, crushed ice and cappuccino.

EGOxperiment: Korean, Plastic Bagged Water Ice!

Hi Egos! I know a lot of you are waiting for the grand finale of the Magnum First Kiss series - so am I. However I couldn't find the last one anywhere yet. I'll keep searching of course! I might even contact Magnum directly and demand them to let me try that last one :D

While gathering all my patience for that last Kiss I accidently found something to sooth my growing impatience! This deliciousness is something I actually only knew from Korean dramas. 

Please ignore my bed hair... Yes I do eat water ice as breakfast :D

EGOxperiment: Magnum First Kiss - We Could Have Had It All, Rolling in the Deep!

Hi Egos, I'm in a dramatic mood, Why? Just because! :D

So yeah, I felt like using Adele's word for this post. Magnum is kind of overteasing me by now. I don't really see a pattern for their releases anymore. Yes they're releasing them in order but in what times is what confuses me most. So I wanted to buy a few things for tonight this morning when I accidentally stumbled over these Magnum First Kiss minis!

Let's get to business and review this 4th ice cream from the Magnum First Kiss limited editon!

This one is called Flirty Kiss and has chocolate-brownie flavour.

Again the packaging is not as nice as the regular sized version (which I haven't seen anywhere yet).

Since I'm not that into chocolate ice cream I thought this one would be the one that least interested me. However the taste is incredible! It has just the right amount of chocolate flavour and enough chocolate sauce/brownie chunks to distract me from the rest. The chocolate coat was as delicious as any Magnum ice cream bar!

Look at it! My mouth gets all watery when I see this!

The 4th Kiss has placed right behind the 1st Kiss. I'm so in love with this taste! Great job Magnum! Only one more Kiss left to try until I've finally found them all (again I feel like I'm collecting Pokémons :D)!

I know the weather is not as ice cream friendly right now as it should be but I'm positive that better days will come! Then you guys have to give it a try!

EGOxperiment: Magnum First Kiss - The Quest Goes On!

Hi Egos! Yes I found another one! I slowly start to feel like Ash in Pokèmon or the guys from Dragonball Z looking for this ice cream all over town. I bet my friends think I've gone crazy. I've checked every store no matter whether it was part of a big chain or just a small 7/11.

However as the saying goes: Seek and you shall find! It's N°3 which is great because it proves my theory that Magnum purposely releases the editions in smaller groups. I guess they want to build the suspense or something..

Anyways let's get to the photos!

Yes I know you can read but let's just go along with it, okay? So N°3 is the Passionate Kiss. I was pretty curious about this one because I totally love it's name. It's supposed to taste like Tiramisu which was bound not to be my favourite one because I'm not really drinking coffee. Ice-cream-hardcore-fan that I am I still bought it. They only had the mini sized ones but who cares?

 I don't know if it's because it's Tiramisu but the big flavour-chunk at the first bite is missing T_T

well it's still more special that other ice cream bars

Alright here comes my judgment: I think N°1 and 2 are better because their ingredients are more to my liking. I still think that anybody who likes coffee will like N°3 and the composition is still pretty exceptional. It's just not really my thing.

But still so far I've like two out of three magnum first kiss editions and there are still two more to go!

EGOxperiment: Magnum First Kiss

Hi Egos! I'm back in the name of Science! As a scientist you sometimes have to fully commit yourself to your project in order to get the best results. That means that might have to face horrible self-experiments! I'm now in that exact position!

I want to test these new Magnum ice cream bars to give you an accurate review! I know it's horrible right? How could I possibly convince myself to eat such a thing?

But seriously I'm such an ice cream addict. At some point I thought I should go to rehab but I didn't. :-D

So Magnum has created these new flavour combinations and at first I was pretty skeptical about them. How could you mix Creme Brulé and ice cream? It's interesting and I really love their marketing campaign but I still have some doubts left.

First on my list was the Loving Kiss. By that time I didn't know they had some kind of order. :D I like berríes and I like ice cream. So that one was kind of a nobrainer. The texture was really nice because first you bite into a chunk of berries and then you have a more balanced mix of ice cream vs. berries.

Caramel Chunk - oh yeah!!

Second was the First Kiss - the one I doubted most. I couldn't have been more wrong. If you like caramel flavour then this is the one you should choose! Again you had that caramel chunk that you bite in and then it's pure awesomeness!

Can you feel how cool this ice cream is? :D

I really wanted to wait for the other three editions but so far I couldn't find any of them in store. So I'm guessing that Magnum will sell the other ones at a later time.

Who's in the mood for some ice cream now? :D

EGOxperiment: Self-heating Canned Food

Hi Egos! For the sake of science I risked my health again! This time my stomach could have gotten serious damage but that's the price you have to pay as an aspiring scientologist!

I know, I know I might have exaggerated the situation a little. That's just how I role. :-P So as the title suggests I tried some canned food. Usually I'm a big believer in fresh, self-cooked meals but as I was walking down the aisle in the supermarket together with my lovely sister (who had to pay for the food by the way :D) something sparkly caught my eyes. I went to take a closer look and found the following can!

They sold it in different flavours but for some reason I find most canned meals somewhat disgusting. The idea of a meal that doesn't require a microwave or boiling water to be warm was so exciting that I went for this rice pudding though. So this can has two layers around the food inside. The inner layer is like a regular can and the outer layer is filled with some chemicals and water. The last two aren't connected until you put this little thingy in those three holes.

Afterwards a rather complicated chemical reaction is happening that is beyond my understanding and heat develops. :-D That heat is what gets the food inside warm. Now that was the interesting part. The following part - tasting the result- wasn't as exciting. The food itself really isn't all that great. It seems rather overcooked and I am sure that there are thousands of unhealthy ingredients mixed together.

It doesn't even look delicious. I don't mind though. Let's be honest: I only bought -my sister paid but I wanted to get it :-D - this can because it was something new that I had never seen before. The same food in a regular can wouldn't have caught my attention at all. My stomach also doesn't like this kind of meal. I'm still alive but some very weird noises came from my belly right after I ate a few bites. I threw the rest away since it had served it's purpose.

EGOxperiment: Stretching your Heels!

Hi Egos! Since part of me is a true nerd I couldn't help myself from doing this little experiment. A couple of months ago I watched a video on youtube on how you could stretch your shoes a bit without torturing your feet. 

My sister has this incredible pair of shoes that she can't wear because her feet are too wide. (Wonder why she bought them in the first place? I don't know either... I'm still trying to figure out the answer. xD) Unfortunately even I can't wear them because my feet are just the tiniest bit longer than hers (sometimes it sucks being tall.). But I wouldn't be me if I didn't try to find a solution to this problem!

Here is where the experiement starts. 

The idea is that you put bags of water in the shoes, put them in the fridge and then the water will freeze. While freezing the volume of the bag increases which will eventually stretch the shoes. Sounds easy right? Said and DONE!

Now I left the whole thing in the fridge for about two days and excitedly took them out today. Who knew that the hardest part had yet to come. I didn't really think much about that part beforehand. If I had I might have saved half an hour trying to get that second plastic bag out of the shoe using a hammer, a hair dryer and a knife. Everybody who thinks about trying this at home I recommend using plastic bags that are waterproof and two of them just to be sure. Once the water leaks the whole thing sticks to the sole of the shoe.

That couldn't stop me though. After breaking the ice (get the joke here?? :D) I was ready to reap the fruits of my hard work! The result is quite pleasing because now they fit way better than before. They still might need a couple of long nights out but then they could turn out to be one of my most comfortable heels. 

And yes I am in my pyjamas. Love the leo print :D
