EGOutfit: Turn The Lights On!

Hi Egos, how has your weekend been so far? Mine was pretty nice! I love that it's mild at night and that I don't have to freeze on my way home in the middle of the night :D In the morning it's still chilly so you have to wear layers and layers. This shoot here shows a typical office look I've been wearing recently.

Hi Egos, how have you been? I know it's been ages since my last outfit post but I'm back on track and used this awesome weather for a little outside shoot.

EGOutfit: Denim, Dark & Black

Hi Egos! As promised I shall now show you another EGOutfit! I shopped a bit and just couldn't help myself from buying these heels and the denim shirt.

Don't we all know it in our hearts when we really want something? I'm afraid it's that time again when my heart tells me to recklessly spend as much money on clothes as I can afford... Dangerous time indeed!

But let's focus on clothes, shall we?

Late Nights in Berlin!

Hi Egos, I'm on vacation this week! I love the extra free time to hang out with friends and do all the things that I usually have to do after work. It's a bit more relaxing although one week isn't enough for me to really calm down.

Anyways I was out in my favourite bar keeping it non-alcoholic. I got to dress up a bit, drink delicious drinks and experiment with my new camera. =)

EGOutfit: The Lazy Days Are Over!

Hi Egos, I'm back with another EGOutift. Since we can all agree that summer has been awesome and going back to school or work after a nice vacation kind of sucks I wanted to say goodbye to those lazy days with the following outfit. =)

 You might remember this shirt from here. This time I paired it with a simple black mini-skirt.

EGOtorial: Recreating Magic Hair - Backwards!

Hi Egos! I recently got my hair and make-up done for a project that I might be able to share later on. Both were so amazing that I took as many photos as possible in order to recreate the looks later.

I haven't really tried that many hair styles but I've been very interested in all kinds of hair styles that I want to try and probable will. I'm so bad at braiding though that I definitely need to practice some more before I can share it with you :D

But let's get to the hairy part!

The hair dresser did this incredible bun! Can you believe it? Might be pretty easy for you but to me this seems like magic!

So how did she do that? I very slowly untangled my hair and took photos in the process to show you the principle she worked with.

EGOutfit: I don't care about perfection-look

Hi Egos! Do you know these days when you only half heartedly care about your outfit because you're too tired or in a bad mood?

Well I had a day like that. I don't plan my outfit. So they entirely depend on my mood in the morning - believe me overdressed or underdressed should be my middle name. xD Anyways today I made it easy clothingwise because I put on a combination that I've worn a lot. I came up with this look on a creative day and liked it enough for occasions like today.

Makeup and hair aren't done at all. I thought a messy pony tail would do the job during these warm days.

Oh yeah and by the way  this is a look that I wore at work today. ;-) 

Yes, this is not a beauty shoot! It's a spontanous "this is what I'm truly wearing"-shoot! :D

My New Apartment: Getting Inspired Everywhere!

Hi Egos, In three weeks we'll be moving to our new place. Can you believe it? Time sure as Ego flies by.... 

Anyways as D-day comes closer my mind thinks of all sorts of interior designs I could do in the new apartment. Since there already is a lot of designing done (colourwise and furniturewise) I can only do small things. I don't want to change that much but I do want the place to look like me. Therefore I need to add some Ego there!

Uhu... This is totally affordable in my situation... Not! :D Would suit my Ego though ;-)

It's Your Own Fault That I'm stealing Your Treasures, Grandma!

Hi Egos, today I shall talk about a darker side of mine. It's a part of me that I've been nourishing for quite some time now. I'm talking about my tendency to rip my grandmother off her jewelry, bags and hats every time I visit her place :D

She embellished this hat herself! Such a lovely idea if you ask me! 

This really has become a serious problem! She has so many different things in addition to a talent for handicraft. Seriously she can do all kinds of things with sewing machines, wool and stuff like that. On top of that she's lived a long time in Sweden where they have so many flea markets that you can't even escape them.

So I was at her place this past weekend and took a few photos to show you guys why I feel the urge to steal her things :D

This ring is so cool! And yes I got my leopard-PJs ready! :-D 

 One day that watch is gonna be mine!

 Well I wouldn't say no if she gave me this lamp too! :D

Is it really stealing if it stays in the family? I don't think so but if it is: It really isn't my fault. Apparently a love for pretty things runs in my family :D That's why I made these bracelets by the end of the weekend :D

My First Tattoo - I Got Inked!

Hi Egos! I mentioned earlier that Wednesday would be an important day for me and there were a lot of things going on. One of these things was my first tattoo!!

Oh yes! I added a permanent accessory to my skin and will carry it for the rest of my life.  How, why, where?! Those questions might occur to you. So I shall kindly answer them :D

Worried before-tattoo-photo

I got this tattoo because getting one has been going through my mind for quite a long time. I feel like this adds something of your personality to your skin. The place you choose for it also defines if you want other people to see it or not. I wanted it to be visible for myself and for others as well. I want to show off with it and be proud of my decision.

This is the outline that the tattoo artist used to tattoo the shape into my skin.

Now getting something this permanent should be thought through. I feel like those random tattoos that some people get while they're drunk or that people get because they're soooooo in love are the ones you'll regret most. I think your tattoo should be meaningful and timeless.

My tattoo represents authority, independence and power. Those symbols below are Korean and represent my sister. I'll forever be related to her and those three words should always motivate me to strive for more.

The hardest part is done! Outlining sure hurt a lot :D

Statistically speaking at least 50 % of you don't have a tatoo. So I'll break down what happened for you. =) When we chose a tattoo artist that deserved our trust we told her what we wanted to get, gave her the concept and let her do her thing.

She then prepared herself and created a template that she later on printed on our skin. Then she started outlining that shape, shading in and then hightlighting. I didn't want any colours so we just stuck with black.

Shadowing wasn't that bad but my arm looks pretty messed up... I even bled a little...

In the end your tattoo is done and the annoying aftermath starts. The first day was pretty fine for me. It didn't hurt. However the second day is the beginning of hell if you ask me :D It itches, hurts and your skin is completely dry. This is the moment when the healing part starts. It won't last that long but it sure gets on my nerves :D

I shall spare you a photo of what it looks like right now but I have a couple of friends with tattoos and they told me that this stage of my tattoo would last 2 weeks at maximum. That gives me a little hope and patience :D

EGOutfit: I've Finally Got the Fashion Blogger Shoes!

Hi Egos, for those of you who aren't that familiar with fashion bloggers these heels will be nothing but incredible gorgeous sandals. However for everyone who follows fbloggers you migt have seen these kind of heels a gazillion times already!

Yes I have found Steve Madden Realove dupes that are in my size, are more or less comfortable to walk in an simply the new love of my life!

Aren't the gorgeous? They sure as Ego are the sexiest shoes I own!

So where did I find these incredible gifts from Ego-heaven? Well I was in the gym, doing my workout when all of a sudden I saw this commercial on tv. JustFab is the glorious site that sells these kinds of shoes! Luckily they were having a 50 % sale plus 20 buck-discount for new members! SO I got these shoes for 20 bucks instead of 70! Can you believe it? It was destiny!

How do you wear them? That's another thing! It's so simple because they work with everthing in my closet. You can wear shorts, jeans, skirts, dresses.. Everything!

On this very sunny Sunday I wore them to go grocery shopping :D Yes I do wear heels occasionally when I run errands just to properly break them in.

It's a simple dress with some earrings. The main attraction are definitely those heels.... I'm really in love with them. I guess it's a good thing that those from Zara didn't work ot because I got them cheaper and as a better fit. =)

I think I'll make this photo a poster and hang it over my bed in my new apartment. What do you think about that? :D

EGOutfit: Stylish and Appropriate for Drinking Games in the Park!

Hi Egos, another very relevant EGOutfit for you guys! As we all can agree now: Summer is approaching. That means that most of the time we'll be chillin' in the park with our folks and every now and then those meetings might be dominated by alcohol and when I say alcohol I mean drinking games. :D

These last two Mondays I met up with some Canadian folks and they taught me the incredible game Beer Dart. The goal is to shoot the other person's beer can with a dart so that the other person has to drink their beer in one looooooooong sip :D Since I'm a natural I beat everyone and didn't have more than a sip of beer. However you never know how long that winning streak is going to last or what kind of opponent you get. So in that case be prepared for everything and dress appropriately so that you won't have to regret your behaviour when you see the photos later on :D

So what should you think of when dressing for these events?

First of all don't wear a skirt. I've been there... That's not very funny anymore but rather quite embarassing... Putting on a pair of leggings is a  far better option. =)

Also you want to wear things that in no circumstances expose anything you don't want others to see but are still quite fashionable. That's why I put on that H&M mini dress. It has these tribal prints which is still hot right now.

I paired it with a belt which has two functions: First of all it looks cool and accentuates your waist and secondly it keeps you from overeating because the belt will feel pretty tight after 2-3 beers, chips and some other snacks. :D

Next up: Shoes! We all love our heels and boots but for this occasion you might want to wear cheap ones that won't fall off but can also get dirty and damaged. I got these for 3 bucks at Primark.

I love how my sister's foot is trolling the photo! :D

Another important part are accessories. You shouldn't have to go out without them but as you did with the shoes think about their value and how bad it would be if you lost them. We all got some cheap bling bling! I'm sure of that!

Lastly make up! Please use sun protection! That's so important. The rest of your makeup should be very simple and minimalistic. Unless you want to have black panda eyes and smeared lipstick :D

EGOtalk: My Love-Hate Relationship with Online Shopping

Hi Egos, I'm sure you can imagine which direction this post is going to take aready :D It's summer which means I'll be out more often meeting friends in bars, chilling in parks and doing small trips to places I'm also in the middle moving to a new apartment which means that I'll have to buy some new furniture. These two factors are digging deep into my pockets but does that stop me from finding things I want to own? Of course not!

I don't know if it's just me but once I start buying things I won't listen to my bad conscience. Instead I go on and spend even more money :-D First I bought my new phone - which is back in my possession once again!. 

Then I started shopping for something to read since I needed to be occupied in the morning on my way to work.

I love these books! You should read them if you like real feelings in an unrealistic setting! :-D

Then I got this mail from Zalando saying the missed me and if I shopped something now they would give me a 10 bucks discount. So I did! :-D

Since I was on a roll I just got some armcandy and jewelry. 

The next thing is already on it's way... 

Gosh I can tell you I'm so easily influenced by seeing something other people have - at least when it comes to fashion. At least I've done my research and found these at least three times cheaper than most of these sandals cost.

Luckily I have now reached a level where I feel like I've spent too much money and should start saving up again. At heart I'm a closefisted person. So after heaving these shopping attacks I soon go back to normal and start thinking about every investment so much that half the time I decide against buying.

My dear sister would call this whole issue "First World Problems" which is true... But I guess it still is a problem.
