EGOxperiment: Magnum First Kiss - The Quest Goes On!

Hi Egos! Yes I found another one! I slowly start to feel like Ash in Pokèmon or the guys from Dragonball Z looking for this ice cream all over town. I bet my friends think I've gone crazy. I've checked every store no matter whether it was part of a big chain or just a small 7/11.

However as the saying goes: Seek and you shall find! It's N°3 which is great because it proves my theory that Magnum purposely releases the editions in smaller groups. I guess they want to build the suspense or something..

Anyways let's get to the photos!

Yes I know you can read but let's just go along with it, okay? So N°3 is the Passionate Kiss. I was pretty curious about this one because I totally love it's name. It's supposed to taste like Tiramisu which was bound not to be my favourite one because I'm not really drinking coffee. Ice-cream-hardcore-fan that I am I still bought it. They only had the mini sized ones but who cares?

the wrapping... not as special as the regular ones

it's as long as my thumb xD

I don't know if it's because it's Tiramisu but the big flavour-chunk at the first bite is missing T_T

well it's still more special that other ice cream bars

Alright here comes my judgment: I think N°1 and 2 are better because their ingredients are more to my liking. I still think that anybody who likes coffee will like N°3 and the composition is still pretty exceptional. It's just not really my thing.

But still so far I've like two out of three magnum first kiss editions and there are still two more to go!

What are your favourite ice cream flavours this season?

EGOtorial: Hearty pancakes!

Oh yes Egos! I'm going to talk food again! With me being in such a good mood and all I felt motivated enough to cook for myself again! Of course I couldn't resist to take a few photos on the road. So here's another EGOtorial.

Step 1: Get your ingredients safely home!

Yes this step should have gone without saying but my dear sister had to let the eggs fall down in the elevater. Just seconds away from our kitchen. Anyways with that she kind of made it easy to decide how many eggs would go in the mixture later on. There weren't that many left after the crash.

Step 2: Prepare the ingredients!

For the dough you need eggs, flour, milk and a pinch of salt. Also prepare some oil for the pan later on. The toppings are entirely up to your liking. I wanted to have my pancakes Hawaiian style. So I got some ananas, ham and cheese. My sister is sooooooo addiced to sauce hollondaise which basically goes with everything in her opinion :D So she would eat that with either ham or salami.

Mix eggs, flour, milk and salt with a whisk. Yes, we're doing this old school! No hand mixer whatsoever! It's important that you start with the dough first because the dough gets firmer the longer you let it rest. Also I have this little tip on how the flour won't clump while whisking. Use a filter and gently sift the flour into the bowl.

You know how I love these vacuumed meet packages... Again I had to wrestle the sh*** open. I just don't understand how other people get their meat out of these packages.. It's such a mystery to me.

Cut your ingredients in little pieces so that you will only have to sprinkle them on your pancakes later on. Luckily the cheese was already done.

Step 3: Use your pan!

I tried several methods on how to do the pancakes. You can pour in the dough, roast it on both sides, then add chese, the other ingredients on top of the cheese and then another layer of cheese. That works fine.

However you can also just add the dough and put all of your ingredients on the liquid side so that the meat and ananas stick to the pancake well. Keep the whole thing in the pan until the cheese has reached the preferred consistency.

You can also fold one side over the other like my sister did.
Step 4: Serve and eat!

Oh yeah! It looks soooo delicious!! If you eat a lot of them they'd probably ruin your body but with all the toppings you won't be able to eat more than two. You can also add more veggies. So no worries! This is such a ressourcefull recipe and there are so many different ways you can do these hearty pancakes. I totally love it!

Now who's gotten a little hungry after reading this?

GLOSSYBOX: Gift yourself each month!

Just before christmas I decided to get myself a subscription to the Glossybox. I wanted one because you get to try out cool new products each  month that might not even be available in your country. When the first one arrived in December I was head over heels. From the package to the carton and even to the stuffing, everything was coloured in a matching scheme. The products were awesome as well. Since Christmas and New Year's Eve were just around the corner they put in false lashes as an addition to their regular 5 products. How that turned out shall be saved for another post. :-D

So now I want to show you what I got this month! As we all know -whether we are in a relationship or just awesomely single- this month is dominated by Valentines Day (Valentinstag in German). I expected that there would be some lovey-dovey themed packaging and products involved. Let's see just how right I was about that part:

Let's have a closer look on the products. They put in this gorgeous in "Dusk Lipstick Striptease Gloss"  by Model Co. Everyone who considers subscibing to this monthly package full of luxury should definitely answer those questions about your skin tone and hair colour because they will take that into consideration when putting together your products. Then there is the Bamboo Plumping strand expand which is a voluminizing product for your hair, followed by Dr Bronners Magic Soap. This magical soap is a body lotion that is entirely made of organic ingredients. Next is the Être Belle Cosmetics Hydro mask. No need to explain that I guess. :-D Lastly we have this incredible perfume called Womanly by Thierry Mugler. The flacon is so amazing that I probably would put it on even if it stank really bad.

I only made a 3-month subscription to see if the contents of the Glossybox were worth it. However my experience durinng the last months is entirely positive so I will prolong it for another 6 months. In the end the best part about this package is that it feels like christmas each month. The suspense and the value of the products make you await the next month even more!
