EGOeats: Time For Apple Pie!

Hi Egos, to me fall has always been THE time to eat apples. I love apples and all the products you can make with them in general. Be it juice, pie or yoghurt. I love it all! Apples are healthy and can taste so very different.

As the saying goes: "An apple a day keeps the doctor away". I bought way too many apples and when I realized that they didn't taste too well on their own I decided to make a pie. So I thought apple pies also applied to that rule.

Here is what you need:
6 medium sized apples
250g butter200g sugar1 tbsp vanilla sugar1/2 tsp cinnamon1 pinch salt5 eggs (room temparature)350g flour2 tsp baking soda

Preheat the oven to 180°C, peel the apples and cut them into tiny pieces. Mix the butter with both sugars. Add the eggs one after the other to it. Mix cinnamon, flour and baking soda and add it to the other ingredients. Take half of the chopped apples and add them to the mixture. Spread it all in your form.

I want to give you a tip here: Use baking paper instead of buttering the springform baking tin. It will make it so much easier to get the cake out of the form without harming eitherof them. Add the rest of the apples on top and put the sweet thing in the oven! Now you just have to wait for about 45 min and then you're good to go!

Should the apples turn brown too soon you can just put on another layer of baking paper to protect them.

It's soooo delicious! The apple make it very soft and delicous and freshly out of the oven with a spoon of ice cream is just the perfect treat during these colder days!

Have a delicious day!

C U Egos!
