My New Apartment: Things I like And Don't Like!

Hi Egos, as I promised I shall give you a quick update on what's been going on in my apartment. I've browsed lots of other blogs for interior design inspirations and DIY ideas that I want to use in some rooms. However with my exams today and tomorrow there was not time to realize them all.

My New Apartment: Suddenly It Happened So Fast - Say Hi to My Bed!

Hi Egos, remember how I said that getting my bed was kind of hard? Well a week later I can say that it all worked out. Some of you might wonder what happened in that one week. Well a classmate of my sister had time and a big enough car and offered to get it for me. Unfortunately I didn't have time to accompany him. So I gave my sister very detailed instructions and some money. When I came home from work on Friday my bed was already there waiting for me to put the piece together!

Hi Egos, there are still a couple of things left to do in the apartment but the end is near! This past weekend we went to get a few things we were still missing like a rack, lamps and other tiny things.

Since my sister and I are living on our own we have to take care of everything ourselves - which often means that I will end up doing it. The same goes for a lot of what's left to do.

I'm ready to fix whatever! :D Don't you love how pink they are? :D

My New Aparrtment: Living in Chaos!

Hi Egos! The moment we've all been waiting for has finally come: I moved in my new apartment this past weekend! It was hard, exhausting, a bit annoying and funny too. But first things first!

I couldn't really start packing until Thursday because we didn't have any cardboard boxes which made me pretty nervous. However one of my sister's friends collected 13 of them and gave them to us. With that I could easily pack most of our stuff. :-) Clothes and shoes were packed in sacks. :-P

My New Apartment: Goodbye, Old Neighbourhood

Hi Egos, as I can't mention enough the new apartment is only a few nights away from being my new home. In fact it's only two more nights before the big day.

I had the chance to go grocery shopping one last time. I used the opportunity to take out some trash :D and to stroll around my current neighbourhood one last time. It really is a nice place. As usual there are a lot of things that I SHOULD have done but didn't take time to do.

I woke up this morning and saw this. I can't even say what woke me but seeing this was worth it!

My New Apartment: Getting Inspired Everywhere!

Hi Egos, In three weeks we'll be moving to our new place. Can you believe it? Time sure as Ego flies by.... 

Anyways as D-day comes closer my mind thinks of all sorts of interior designs I could do in the new apartment. Since there already is a lot of designing done (colourwise and furniturewise) I can only do small things. I don't want to change that much but I do want the place to look like me. Therefore I need to add some Ego there!

Uhu... This is totally affordable in my situation... Not! :D Would suit my Ego though ;-)

My new Apartment: What's going on?!

Hi Egos! Do you want an update on what's been going on with my new apartment? 

Well, the happy and fun part of getting the apartment and agreeing with the current tenants on all the things they'll leave behind for us is now over. We have now reached the exhausting stage of packing all of our stuff in cardboard boxes. On top of that I need to call all those companies that take care of our energy bills, telephone/internet connection and I also have to think about incurance!

Even though I've been living in my own apartment for about two years now this new apartment makes me feel so much more like an adult than anything I've done before. 

Let's talk about progress for a while, okay? Out of the above tasks I've done the following so far:

I packed one tiny cardboard box with my school stuff and one suicase filled with our winter coats. Oh wait, there is also a cardboard box filled with winter shoes but it's too full and I can't close it yet. So that part is only halfly done. Great right?

I feel like this is so much work that the amount of it discourages me to the degree that I'll probably start packing for real one week before moving out. :D

Loving Lately: ANNA FIELD Bag!

Hi Egos, I already told you about my last online shopping attack. Part of what I ordered during that time was this bag:

I'm so in love with it. Previously I mentioned how everything I own is something I unconditionally love :-D Same goes for this little wonder. As I was browsing through the online shop Zalando I stumbled across this lovely purse. It has got the perfect size, a nice shade of white mixed with black and metal.

The brand ANNA FIELD is an odd case for me. Whenever I browse their clothes, shoes and accessories I feel as if I don't like most of their things. However when I shop for something specific I always end up buying something by that brand. Weird, huh?

Anyway I've been using this bag almost daily and am so happy I bought it! 

Oh yes I carry some bags like this! Muhahaha! I look like a 

real chick, right? xD

MY NEW APARTMENT: It Keeps Getting Better And Better!

Hi Egos! As you know I've finally found a new apartment for my sister and me! Last Tuesday we signed the rental agreement. So now nobody can take it away from us anymore! YES!

However that's by far not all. We still have many tasks ahead before we can start out new lives in our lovely new home. First on the list is getting to now the current tenant. I don't know about other countries but here in Germany everything needs to be settled in a formal agreement. After the rental agreement we still had to discuss the things that the current tenant would leave behind in the apartment, how much money they wanted for it and what they should repair before handing over the keys.

Luckily for us they were so sweet! Since we love everything about their flat and everything they wanted to leave with the apartment they agreed to all of our requests. That basically means that we could go in every room, point at an object and say "can we have that?" :-D

They said they just couldn't rip us off our money so they sold their stuff for 200 bucks less than what they originally wanted. Great deal, right?

Controllfreak that I am I immediately took pictures of all the things we agreed to keep and of course I'll now share with you the awesomness of what's going to be ours!

MY NEW APARTMENT: I finally found one! - Part 1

Hi Egos, I'm presenting you a new series as you will now be able to join my journey from one apartment to the next!

A lot of my friends know that I've been looking for a new apartment for over a year now. There were setbacks and tears when I was close to getting one but was cheated out of it. However these ugly memories shall now be in the past!

I have successfully acquired a new apartment for me and my lovely twin sister! It has more rooms than expected, is furnished in all the right places and is soooooooo affordable! To say that this apartment is perfect would be the understatment of the century!

This is the the groundplan of our new apartment. I bet you're wondering just what we plan on doing with 4 rooms when we're only 2. So here is the plan!

The room down to the left shall be a bedroom (preferably mine :D), the one on top will be the living room, to the right will be another bedroom and the other one will be a walk-in-closet!!! Can you believe it?? I'm so excited about all of that!

The other two rooms obviously are the kitchen and the bathroom. What I love about this apartment is that each room has a window.

Next Tuesday we'll sign the rental agreement and with that it's going to be 100% our apartment. Until then there's still a small piece of doubt left in my chest. But let's stay positive!!
