EGOutfit: Natural Spring Beauty

Hi Egos! Can anyone still recall the last EGOutfit? I can't! Let's change that with a lovely spring outfit. We sure did wait a long time for spring...

My main focus was to leave behind all of my black clothes because I feel like I've been wearing nothing else these past couple of months.

I followed the fashion rules and matched something tight with something wide. It's very simple and even a bit casual outfit. The shirt is perfect for these sunny days. It's pretty and has a few studs on each shoulder (how could I ever say no to studs?!) The pair of leggins gives it a rather sporty edge. I even thought that they were meant to be worn to do sports. It was only later that I realized you could also wear them on the streets. xD

They are super comfortable. I wore them during my 5-hour-journey to Frankfurt and can tell you that was the best decision I ever made! :D On a side note if you're wearing a pair of leggings please make sure to cover that pretty ass of yours. Most of the times it doesn't look advantageous in them anyways. ;-)

I've been waiting to sport these heels for months now! I got them on sale last autumn and haven't been able to wear them ever since because it was just too freaking cold. They are so easy to walk in. Totally love them!

I think this is going to be my standard arm candy. Those three bracelets go so well together. They match my new watch and all of my other gold jewelery. Also they don't make much noise so I can even put them on for work.

This outfit is just asking for my new favourite clutch bag. Most of the times that bag is too tiny for my daytime activities but if you're going to a bar or a club this would be my first choice. =)

To match my bracelets and bag I got these long earrings. They remind me of some Native American tribe accessories. They are a bit heavy so I wouldn't recommend dancing or running in them but they certainly look good! I was too lazy to care about make up. Just put on some sun protection and you're good to go. :D

Lastly every perfect Spring Beauty should keep her mood light! Goof around a bit, do funny things and enjoiy the amazing weather!

FYI: The Instagram Love!

Hi Egos, I'm back with a super short article! You could even call it a memo!

I can't explain why it took me so long to get an Instagram account since it's obviously been made for me. But now I got one and all you lovely stalkers out there can watch my every move - at least those I feel motivated enough to share. :D I'll even start putting # in front of every word I write :D

That's all I want to say today. I'll be back tomorrow! :D

EGOtalk: FAIL!

Hi Egos, today I have to talk about a topic that I wish I didn't know anything about. I would love to say that the word "failure" is not in my dictionary but every once in a while something goes wrong.

I never regret anything. I feel that everything happens for a reason and that you can only learn from your mistakes (big words, right?). However failing in something sucks. Especially when you have been looking forward to it.

Yesterday I wanted to make cake pops. The recipe looked pretty easy. I would even say FOOL proof.

Source: buttercream.com.au/
But this sh** just fell off the sticks. It was too sweet, too sticky, too heavy, the sticks too tiny. Blah. It just sucked! My intentions were so honorable! I wanted to say thank you with pretty little cakes that looked great. Can you imagine how depressed I was when I saw this instead?

I was pretty depressed afterwards. I spent two hours in the kitchen just to have this kind of result. I guess the lesson is that you should overcome these setbacks and try again later.

There will be cake pops made by me. Just not this week. I'm too angry for that. However it won't be long before I try again and when that time comes there is only one result that I can accept! It better looks a little like this:

Goofing around in the GYM!

Hi Egos! I successfully made it back from Frankfurt. I had a lot of fun there and met amazing people. But now I'm back again and that means I'm back to my busy schedule!

Before Frankfurt I went to the gym a lot and was in the process of changing the way I eat (it kind of just happened that way. It was all VERY healthy.) So I was a bit worried to gain weight, lose my muscles and stuff. T_T BUT I didn't! I was very active which included a lot of sight-seeing and dancing :D

Since I'm back in Berlin again I went straight to the gym and I think I'm still as fit as before :D So today I want to talk about what I do in the gym. As mentioned before working out has become quite relaxing to me. But there are days when it's a bit harder to go.

My locker! Very neat right?
I go 3-4 times a week depending on how much time I have. Plus I usually keep the suggested time to rest between my workouts to regenerate my body. Once a week I do the whole workout including lifting weights and the rest of the time I do stamina training (I love that word. Sounds so badass!). Most of the time it's really fun to go there because I can make fun of other runners or the shows that run on TV or just myself. I discovered that I make this weight lifting face that only dudes normally do:

My weight-lifting-face looks a little like this! :D
This is just so hilarious! The first part goes by pretty quickly because I do 3 sets on each machine and then switch to the next. That last part are sit-ups that will eventually give me a murderous six-pack :D Just kidding.

The weather was so amazing!
Lastly there's the never ending 60 minutes cardio part. Sometimes that time flies if there's a good show on TV to keep my mind occupied but other times there's just rubbish and time seems to stop. When it's over my legs feel like rubber but I'm satisfied.

Here is one last photo of me sitting like a boss on the abductor (a machine that trains your legs):

Suit & the City!

Hi Egos! Sunday I left Berlin to go on a business trip to Frankfurt. These past 3 days have been exciting, horrifying and pretty amazing.

I have to share my experiences with you guys because they are just incredible! First things first: My journey. Let me tell you one thing about going by train. Each and every stop is like the lottery if there is an empty seat next to you. During the first 3 hours I was able to relax taking up as much space as I wanted.

However it just so happened that the next stop brought an old man who felt provoked enough to sit next to me. I'm usually very kind to old people if they are related/acquainted to me or if they are friendly. But a lot of old people feel as if younger people are trying to harm them and are in an aggressive state at all times. That dude really got on my nerves...

Once we arrived at Frankfurt all of that was forgotten and with tiny baby steps we very slowly went in the direction of our hotel - remember that we all packed too much stuff :D Turns out that our neighborhood wasn't the safest place to stay either... At first we didn't notice but I'm pretty sure that we are living in the main area of the Mafia or something... There are some really weird dudes hanging around outside; plus the red light district is just around the corner. o.O
I saw a lot of funny and weird stores :D
Anyways all that stuff just means that we have to be careful when we go out at night. During the day it's less dangerous. Since we came on a business trip I probably should talk a bit about work :D Frankfurt is where the headquarters of my company are. Last year they built a new building that was bigger, more modern and prettier than the former one. They did a really good job on that part. It's so huge that I feel disoriented at least once a day.

This is just the foyer. There are about 50 more floors on top of that...
And here's a little secret: I just love men in suits! There is something confident, smart and a little bit arrogant about them that I find super attractive. So Frankfurt is the ideal place if you're looking for that kind of guy. ;-) Also there are a lot of fancy cars on the street. Wouldn't mind taking a closer look at their owners. :-D

Alright that's it for now! I still have 3 more days left and in case the Mafia won't kidnap me I should be able to tell you more about it later! :D

I'm Packing My Bags!

Hi Egos! No unfortunately I'm not leaving the country. My company is sending me on a business trip - doesn't that sound oh-so sophisticated? :-D

I'm leaving Berlin today going by train (wish it was by plane though...) to Frankurt on the Main. My friend and I have plans to go out everyday after work and make the most of this trip. I'm sure that it's going to be amazing but that also means that I have to pack my luggage.

Lovr my suitcase so muuuuch :D
Now I've been quite experienced in packing for either long or short trips ever since I was pretty young. That doesn't mean that it's fun for me or that I wouldn't sometimes forget things back at home. So for this 6-day-trip I have to pack not only casual outfits but also business outfits.

With me being quite a procrastinator when it comes to things like these I didn't start packing until 9 PM yesterday. The easiest part was my clutch, followed by shoes, shirts, trousers, skirts, dresses, underwear, tights, accessories, beauty products and then again shoes.

OMG I love this clutch. It's new and it goes well with so many things!
The hardest part is starting. After that I pretty much threw a bunch of stuff in, thought about them again after a while and then exchanged or took them out. What annoys me most though is that you can never finish packing in one go because you need things like toothbrushes the next morning. However if I pack just an hour before leaving then I'm bound to forget something important.

So this is my final suitcase photo. I think this moment when you're about to close the suitcase and realize that it's not too full and you're able to zip it up is one of the happiest moments in this whole packing process :D

Anyways I'm really looking forward to this trip and will try to take a photo of each outfit so that I can show them off later on!

EGOtalk: The Naked Experience!

Hi Egos, today I want to talk about a rather scandulous topic: Nudity. Now it won't be as bad as you might imagine right now. Let's start with the reason why I want to talk about it at all.

As I have mentioned before I've been going to the gym quite often in the past couple of weeks. It's the first time in ages that I feel motivated to work out regularly. I don't have to force myself to go there. I'm even looking forward to it since it's become a source of relaxation. Some of the other women (the gym is exclusively for women) even stared at me because I seem to enjoy myself too much.

Anyways I do cardio twice and muscle building once a week. Since the latter takes so long and since I'm so stingy with my free time I need a tiny push to end the training with a good mood. So the thing that keeps me motivated is the sauna. I just loooooooove lying in a hot room and sweating without excercising. Yesterday I was in that exact same situation and that got me thinking about the reason I like saunas. First of all you it cleanses your body, then it's good for your heart and lastly you get to be naked without being stared at.

I think that I wouldn't enjoy myself as much if there where men around but in an women-only environment where there are a lot of elder women that grew up with a lot of nudism I don't feel uncomfortable at all.
Source:heattherapyprod.com
Usually I like wearing short skirts and all but being completely naked is something entirely different. I'm not even sure if I would go to those nudist beaches. :-D Probably not... Just think of what kind of people are there. Perverts and whatnot.

Well that wasn't too revealing, was it? :D

EGOtorial: Lazy & Healthy Cooking?!

Hi Egos, it's been a while since I talked about making food right? That doesn't mean that I'm not cooking anymore though :D Just yesterday I made another smoothie.

Today I made chicken with rice and spinach. Since I really didn't have much time for cooking (I had to tidy up my apartment, do some laundry and take a shower) I decided to go with a lazy version of it. Here is what I did.

Step 1: Go grocery shopping!

I did that yesterday already since today is Sunday and the shops are closed. This is probably the most logical step though. If you don't have any ingredients you can't cook. So this is what you're going to need:
  • rice
  • marinated chicken
  • spinach (frozen one)
Step 2: Cook your rice using a rice cooker!

Frankly I think that everybody should have a rice cooker. Rice is good for your body and this little thingy gets the job done without any trouble. No burned rice corn whatsoever. ;-) Plus you can use it to cook vegetables without losing their vitamins. Sounds great right?

Step 3: Roast your chicken in the oven!

On youtube there is this asian muscle guy who does videos on how to gain muscles (No, I don't know why I watch his videos :D). In one video he says that he precooks his meals for the week and that he roasts his chicken using the oven. That ensures that the chicken gets done faster since the warmth doesn't only come from the pan but also from all around the chicken. It's an oven after all. So after fighting with the packaging:

I had to cut all around the meat to get the chicken out of there!
I put the meat in the pan and then in the preheated oven. Is it just me or does chicken look especially gross when it's raw?

I told you to buy marinated chicken in step 1. The reason for that is that the chicken will have a better taste and you won't have to season it any further.

Step 4: Put your spinach in the microwave!

Make sure you put a lid on it because the spinach might spatter and then you'll have to clean up the mess afterwards.

Step 4: Serve and eat!

I know spinach isn't sexy food but I like the taste :D I think that the whole process took me around 5 minutes to prepare and 20 minutes until it was all done. I checked in the middle and turned the chicken so that both sides would get nice and brown.

This is a quick, lazy but very healthy at the same time recipe. You got the rice that will fill your stomach, chicken which gives you energy (if you're spending a lot of time at the gym the way I have recently you really need that) and the spinach that gives you a few vitamins though I don't really know what kind of vitamins spinach has. Taste good at least :D

One last photo of the chicken because I'm so overwhelmed by the result. The marinade was so delicious and the chicken didn't dry out or anything!

There is a hole in my heart!

Hi Egos, my desire for something has become too strong so I have to share it with you guys. I'm paying a lot of attention to fashion trends. Always looking for a look that suits my style. I try to keep a good balance between the bad side effects of looking fashionable (Don't give me that "you can be comfortable anyways"-talk. My style doesn't include a jogging suit and sneakers). I love heels but get blisters. I love certain pieces of clothing even though they might not be compatible with the weather outside. To a certain point I can ignore these risks to my health but then there needs to be a time to give my body some rest.

So for almost two months I have been staying away from nail polish because my nails started splitting and I didn't want to loose my nails altogether. However I can tell you that it hasn't been easy. Sometimes there is this one colour that would take your outfit to the next level. I still want to wait a bit longer until the damaged nail have been replaced. But it's so haaaaaard T_T

Instead I shall share my nail polish collection with you guys in hopes of calming my longing heart! :-D

So these are the colours that I have. My sister and I have been collecting them for years and there are a lot that I left out because we don't use them anymore. I think that there are a couple of nail polishes that are lost in some bag as well. For some reason I seem to loose them just like bobby pins, hair ties, eye liner etc.you know what I'm talking about. :D

These are my most favourite ones! I love painting my nails in two different colours. I am not a big fan of  gel nails or nails with accessories on them. I keep it simple and single-coloured on one finger with no more than two colours on one hand like this:

Source: polishmeperfect.wordpress.com

I can't wait to put on some nail polish again. It's very likely that I will show off my nails next weeks with a matching outfit. They seem quite healthy to me by now and if I can find a better hand creme that takes care of my nails in addition to a top coat I might not have to worry about my nails ever again :D
